Aaron Sorkin has teamed up with Office star John Krasinski to develop a mini-series for HBO based on the novel Life at the Marmont, which was written by the hotel’s co-ower Raymond R. Sarlot and Fred Basten.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Sorkin (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) will write the series and executive produce alongside Krasinski (The Office), the Chateau Marmont’s current owner, Andre Balazs and his daughter, Alessandra.

Krasinski is also expected to play a role in the currently untitled series, which will feature interwoven stories of the hotel’s guests over several generations.

Since the 1930’s, the apartment complex, which later become a hotel, has been at the center of Hollywood, playing host to many film and television actors, famous authors and musicians.
